Justin Timberlake grows out his hair

While it’s sometimes easy to forget about Justin Timberlake‘s boy band roots, the entrepreneur is either kicking back to his NSYNC days or just becoming lazy with his hair. Timberlake showed off his new old ‘do when he recently walked on to a movie set.

I, for one, did not miss the curls—I hope that his stylist gets them chopped off soon (or at least until he’s done shooting his scenes).

Anyone standing in defense of his longer locks?

Pete Doherty at the Munich concertIn what was most likely a drug-induced action, Pete Doherty infuriated fans at German music festival by singing the banned Nazi verse of the national anthem.

The rocker took to the stage at the Munich event last Saturday and launched into a rendition of “Deutschlandlied” (translated: “The Song of Germany”). As soon as fans heard the first verse - which has been banned since the end of World War II because of its use during the Nazi regime by Adolf Hitler and its reference to racial superiority - they began to jeer and heckle Pete.

His performance was allowed to continue for five more songs before organizers made him leave the stage and the live radio broadcast was cut, prompting Pete to hurl his microphone at the concert’s host.

A statement released by the organizers said, “As the British say, ‘We are not amused.’ Unfortunately, it was unforeseeable. Live is live.”

Only the third verse of the national anthem is allowed to be sung in Germany. The first stanza of the anthem translates as, “Germany, Germany above all / Above all in the world. When, for protection and defence, it always takes a brotherly stand together. / From the Meuse to the Memel, From the Adige to the Belt, Germany, Germany above everything. Above everything in the world.”

Keira Knightley and Rupert Friend in better timesPirate of the Caribbean actress Keira Knightley has hinted her relationship with Rupert Friend is on the rocks.

The British actress - who is currently starring in the West End show The Misanthrope where she portrays 22-year-old movie star Jennifer - has spoken about the similarities between her and her sexy on-stage persona, admitting they both have love life “problems.”

“Do I recognize being an extremely well-known young actress? Yes. And she’s in the middle of a world full of people who are quite a bit older than her. She’s having a problem with her boyfriend. No comment.”

The 24-year-old beauty - who has been dating Rupert, 28, since 2005 when they met on the set of Pride and Prejudice - also admitted she doesn’t view fame in a positive way because the definition has changed so much.

“If I’d thought about what fame meant when I was younger, it probably would have been for your name to be respected for something you do well. I don’t know that that is any longer what fame means. I don’t see it in its modern-day connotations as a particularly positive thing.”

Janet Jackson at this year's VMAsJanet Jackson said the realization of her brother Michael’s passing only hit her three months after his death.

The “Make Me” singer said she had avoided everything that could remind her of her brother after he suddenly passed away in June, until she was about to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards in September, when she saw a huge picture in tribute to him.

Janet, 43, said, “It hit me before I was about to do the performance, and it hit me when we were in rehearsal. There was a huge image of him on this screen, and I started to cry. I had to step away.”

She also said that she is continuing to come to terms with the singer’s death, of acute intoxication by the anesthetic Propofol, but that she feels in future things will get easier.

She added, “You know, a day doesn’t go by where you don’t think about him. It’s always there, in every sense. “But it will get better. It’s not easy, but I know with time it will get easier. But it will never be easy. It’s my brother.”

Despite her husband Keith Urban losing out to Taylor Swift at the Country Music Awards this year, Nicole Kidman had nothing but nice things to say for the young singer.

“She is a delight. And she so deserves what’s happening to her because, having met her and seeing her actually really become a phenomenon over the past couple of years, she really deserves it… She’s a honey bun. She’s everything that she appears to be.”

With endless nice comments her way and possibly dating one of the hottest werewolves around, is there anything this 19 year-old doesn’t have or cannot do?

Beyonce KnowlesSinger and actress Beyonce Knowles said she has sacrificed her entire life in becoming successful.

The “Single Ladies” singer said that the pressures of celebrity have taken everything away from her that would allow her to enjoy a normal lifestyle.

“I just sacrificed life. Being able to walk down the street and being able to make mistakes and not have it recorded for ever. Being able to have regular relationships and dates. Just regular, normal things that people probably don’t even think about. Sometimes it’s hard.”

Beyonce, 28, also said that during her career - which has so far spanned 14 years recording with Destiny’s Child and as a solo artist - she has hardly ever had any chance to take a break. She added, “I haven’t had longer than a couple of months off ever in my life, since I was 15. But I was raised that anything that’s worth anything takes a lot of sacrifice. And when anything is too easy for me I get scared.”

Tiger Woods“I am extremely disappointed that I will not be at my tournament this week,” said in a statement he released Monday. “I am certain it will be an outstanding event and I’m very sorry that I can’t be there.”

Of course he can’t attend the tournament - the media has launched itself into a rabid frenzy since his over the weekend, an event which has sparked rumors of everything from substance abuse to cheating on his wife.

So far, the investigation is “ongoing” and any criminal charges in the case are “pending.” Because of it, “Woods will not participate in any other tournaments in 2009 and will return to action next year,” according to a statement released from his reps. The Chevron World Challenge, the event which no longer features Tiger, will carry on as planned.

Woods was leaving his home around 2 a.m. several days ago, striking first a fire hydrant and then a tree on a neighboring property. Police have stated that the crash did not involve alcohol.
